Reporting Work-Related Accidents

Under the Work Injury Compensation Act, an employer is required to notify MOM of work accidents within 10 days from the accident date, or from the 4th day of medical leave.

All employers are advised to put in place proper internal reporting systems so that you can be alerted to work accidents quickly. Also, educate your employees that they are required to report their work injuries to you promptly. All incident reports should be submitted through our WSH Incident Reporting eService at www.mom.gov.sg/iReport with your CorpPass account.

Failure to report work accidents is an offence. Employers who fail to report on time will be issued with a composition fine of $200, and up to $2,500 for subsequent offences. Those who fail to pay the fines may be further fined up to $10,000 or jailed up to 6 months.
